FauxGen vs Mockaroo

Mockaroo is a schema builder. You define columns, pick types, and download CSV, JSON, SQL or Excel — including large files on a paid plan, plus an API. FauxGen does not do arbitrary schemas. It does one realistic record type at a time: a person, an address, an IBAN, a VIN, a chat screenshot — with the check digits and local formats already wired in.

Use FauxGen when

You need a plausible German address, a valid-format IBAN, or a WhatsApp PNG right now, with no account.

Use Mockaroo when

You need a custom table — hundreds of rows, your own column names, SQL inserts, or an API. That is Mockaroo's product, and FauxGen does not replace it.

FAQ

Is FauxGen a Mockaroo alternative?+

For a realistic person, address, card or IBAN, yes. For a custom multi-column dataset or SQL dump, no — use Mockaroo.

Can I download CSV from FauxGen?+

The identity generator can export a batch as CSV. Other tools copy values or download a PNG. There is no schema editor.

Do I need an account?+

No. Every FauxGen tool runs without signup. PRO features (such as 4K PNG export) are a local flag, not an account on a server.
